What Division will my child play in?

Divisions are divided by age as determined on the Little League International age chart.  There is a separate age chart for boys and girls.  The website automatically puts your child in the correct division during registration.  Divisions and age charts can be viewed under the 'Divisions' tab.

Can my child play in a different Division than they are placed in?
If a player has played 1 year of t-ball, the parent can ask to move them to coach pitch by emailing [email protected]
A player can move from coach pitch to super minor or super minor to majors IF they attend the mandatory skills assessment and are determined to be ready to play up by the coaches doing the skills evaluations. If you plan to have a player attend the skills assessment to 'move up', please email [email protected].

When does the season begin?
This depends on the year and the winter Gaylord has gotten, but the season will start the first or second week in May.

How long is the season?
The regular season lasts 6-7 weeks.

What days and times are the games played?

Games are typically played M-F.  Generally each team will have 2 games per week.  Divisions from Super Minor and up will also have a night game scheduled.  Some older divisions do have some Saturday games.
Times for Coach pitch, super minor, major and juniors are 5:30 pm and 7 pm.
The t-ball schedule will also be twice per week, however 1 may be a game and 1 may be a practice.  T-ball plays shorter games due to shorter attention spans and may have 2-3 games scheduled per night.  The first t-ball game may be around 5:15, depending on how many teams there are this season.

When will I hear from the coach?
A coaches meeting is held mid-April.  At that time we ask coaches that have not contacted their teams to introduce themselves and provide contact information.  Practices can start once the snow has melted.  T-ball generally does not have practice prior to the season.

When do I get the schedule?
Schedules can be made after we know how many teams there will be - this depends on how  many players register in each Division and how many coaches volunteer.  The schedules for the 9 Divisions will be released as they are finalized.  Typically you can expect the schedule by mid-April.

Which is my field?
Please look at the 'our fields' tab for a map showing which field is used for each Division.

How can I help?
So many ways!!!  Each year we have to call and ask for more parents to coach, assistant coach, umpire and help with the concession stand.  Please consider giving your time! To volunteer, log in the same as when you registered your player, and click on the volunteer links.  If you have questions contact any of the Board Members, or contact [email protected].
